Apologia, a prominent provider of homeschool educational materials, sought to overcome significant limitations in their website’s structure and search visibility. They partnered with us to create a robust SEO strategy designed to increase online sales, improve keyword rankings, and enhance user engagement.
Their site initially relied on a single “Shop” page with filtering options, which constrained its ability to rank for a diverse set of keywords and attract organic traffic. We were tasked with designing a solution to unlock the site’s SEO potential.
- Designing wireframes and creating 40 unique category pages, each tailored with optimised content and metadata.
- Structuring URLs to maximise keyword potential while ensuring seamless redirects from the old filter pages.
- Mapping and integrating high-performing keywords across the site’s grades and subjects.
- Replacing internal links and navigation to direct users to the newly optimised pages.
Our efforts led to remarkable improvements across key metrics, including: Comparing March–November YoY, revenue surged by over half, demonstrating the power of effective SEO. User engagement rose significantly, reflecting the success of the optimised category pages and improved site structure. From March to November, Apologia’s ranking keywords jumped from 4300 to 8249, with positions 1-3 increasing from 356 to 507.
