Overview.
WeBuyVintage buys vintage, antiques, gold, silver and collectables from the public, at roadshows, local venues and home visits across the UK. It makes its money when someone books an appointment to sell.
The objective.
Most people selling a family heirloom don’t know what it’s worth or who to trust. WeBuyVintage needed to be found at that exact moment, and to be the name they booked.
Our approach.
Answer the “what’s this worth?” questions people search before they sell. Give every type of item its own page. Then make sure Google, and the AI assistants, know exactly which page to show.
Meet sellers while they’re still curious.
We wrote guides on the things people find in lofts and drawers. Each one helps a reader work out what they’ve got, then points them to a valuation.

Guides we’ve written
- The broken Rolex
- Inherited silverware
- Pocket watches
- Military medals
- Rare coins
- Gold hallmarks
- The retro tech boom
- 1970s and 80s toys
A page for everything they buy.
We’re rebuilding the Items We Buy pages on a new template. A seller lands on a page about exactly the thing in their hand, not a generic sales pitch.

Items We Buy pages
- Jewellery
- Silver
- Gold
- Currency
- Cameras
- Medals and militaria
- Writing instruments
- Vintage toys
Tidy up what Google sees.
We fixed duplicate page titles across the site, so Google knows which page to show for which search. Then we started tracking which AI assistants recommend WeBuyVintage, and which don’t yet.

What we track
- Rankings for every item they buy
- Answers on ChatGPT and Gemini
- Bookings from search
- Site speed on mobile
The results.
Bookings are up 220%, from 207 to 663, while visits from organic search doubled. WeBuyVintage ranks #1 for “where to sell collectibles” and “where to sell vintage items”, right where Google shows its AI Overview. Gemini names it for questions like “I don’t want to post my valuables, who buys vintage items face-to-face near me?”, and not one AI answer described it negatively.
- 220%
More bookings.
- 663
Bookings, up from 207.
- 99%
More visits from organic search.
- #1
For “where to sell collectibles” in Google.
What happens next.
Gemini already names WeBuyVintage. ChatGPT doesn’t yet, so that’s the next target. Mobile speed is next on the list too, so more of those visits turn into bookings.
