Our objectives were to refresh their site and build out new pages that provide key signals for their customers and drive new bookings.
Harbour House is an all-day restaurant, bar, and events venue set in a 19th-century transit shed on Bristol’s floating harbour. Although the brand already ranked well, it was missing out on diners who were still deciding where to eat. We began working together in June 2026 with a clear goal: to make Harbour House the top choice for anyone searching for a harbourside restaurant.
We started by improving the homepage and main pages to target local searches from people ready to book. We created content focused on key moments, beginning with Sunday lunch. We also launched a seafood hub to answer diners’ questions about mussels and southwest seafood. At the same time, we updated their Google Business profile with important details, like their different menus.
Our Sunday lunch work delivered quick results. Harbour House now appears at the top of the map pack for “sunday lunch bristol harbourside,” and Google’s AI Overview features its Sunday roast guide. Before we started, neither result showed up for this search. Now, diners looking for a place to eat on Sunday see Harbour House first, whether they check the map or read the AI answer.
In just 16 weeks, organic traffic increased by 45%. Harbour House moved up from #7 to #2 for “places to eat bristol harbourside” and reached page one for “restaurant bristol.” The new seafood pages now rank first for searches like “how to eat mussels.” More diners are finding Harbour House when deciding where to eat.
