SEO Migration
Change the platform, keep the rankings. Migrations that protect what you already earned.
Change the platform, keep the rankings. Migrations that protect what you already earned.

A migration is a technical job and a turning point in your search performance. Handled carelessly it can undo years of progress in a single night.
What we build
Before anything changes we benchmark your current performance and flag what needs attention, so there is a baseline to hold the new site against.
A complete 301 map that preserves link equity, sends users to the right content and avoids crawl errors. Every valuable page points at a relevant new URL.
We audit what you have and restructure the site around users and search engines together, so you know what to keep, improve, combine or retire.
Titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, canonicals, schema, noindex rules and image data carried across and refined, with room for the site to grow.
Full checks before you go live. Redirect and crawl testing, link checking, indexability and robots, schema validation, and UX and mobile performance.
Keyword and traffic trends, indexation and crawl data, redirects behaving as expected, and the user journeys and conversion paths that follow.
What else we do
Keywords that map to money, pages that deserve to rank, and links that earn their place.
Being the answer ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews reach for, rather than the site they scroll past.
Traffic is only half of it. We find where the money leaks out of the journey and fix the page, not the theory.
Stories the press actually wants, and the links and brand mentions that follow.
Dashboards built around your goals rather than the tool’s defaults, so you can see what search is doing to the business.
Your buyers search TikTok, YouTube and Reddit before they reach Google. We make sure you turn up there too.
Years of progress can disappear on launch night.
Most of the damage in a migration is done before anyone notices. Missed redirects, lost metadata, a structure nobody mapped. The fix is doing that work before you go live, not after.
Most migrations are treated as something to survive. Done properly it is the cleanest opportunity you will get to fix a structure that has been holding the site back for years.
We use the move to consolidate thin and competing pages, correct an information architecture that grew by accident, and set crawl and indexation rules from day one rather than retrofitting them later.
The result is a site that recovers quickly and then goes past where it was, rather than one that spends six months getting back to level.
Corndel
+15average performance score uplift
We delivered a full SEO migration for professional training provider Corndel with no authority loss, a 15 point average performance score improvement, and a scalable SEO strategy to build on.
Why trust us with it
Corndel moved their entire site to a new CMS while we ran the SEO side. Domain authority held at 40 through the switch and has since risen to 50. Referring domains went from 328 to 324, which is noise rather than loss. The migration also surfaced more than 2,000 monthly click opportunities the old structure had been hiding.
AlumierMD was harder, because it was three territories at once. We kept site health above 95 through the move, organic clicks rose 7.5%, and click-through rate rose 25.8% as the new templates started earning better listings. The US and Canadian domains held their authority alongside the UK one.
Both of those ran to the same five stage plan, and the order matters more than any single step. Crawl and record the old site before anything changes, because you cannot prove what you preserved if you never measured it. Map every URL, including the ones nobody remembers. Build the redirects as a spreadsheet you can test rather than a rule in a config file. Launch and monitor either side of the switch. Then spend the following month recovering the things that always slip, because something always slips.
The failure mode we see most often in sites that come to us after a bad migration is not a missing redirect. It is a redirect chain three or four hops long, pointing at a page that no longer covers the topic the original page ranked for. The link still resolves, so nobody notices for a quarter, and by then the rankings are gone.
What we will not do is promise zero movement. Traffic dips of a few weeks are normal on a large replatform, and an agency guaranteeing otherwise is either not being straight with you or plans to blame the dev team. What we commit to is the plan, the monitoring and the recovery work, and a number you can check against the one we recorded before the switch.
Matt scopes and runs migrations personally.
If you are choosing an SEO migration agency, ask for two things before you sign anything: the before crawl from a migration they ran, and the traffic graph either side of the switch. Any agency that has done this properly keeps both, because they are the only evidence that the work held. If they cannot produce them, you are paying for a redirect spreadsheet and a hope.
Any major change to your site, such as a new platform, domain, structure or design. Without SEO guidance, migrations can cost you traffic and rankings.
It can, especially if redirects are missed or SEO is left out of the plan. That is why we take a proactive approach to safeguard your rankings before anything moves.
Most take between four and twelve weeks depending on complexity. You get a clear plan and schedule from day one.
We have delivered migrations on Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, Magento and more. The approach is tailored to your CMS and your objectives.
Yes. If you are mid project, or have launched and noticed problems, we can audit the setup, find what went wrong and get things back on track.
Retainers start from £3,000 a month, and a migration usually weights the first quarter heavier before settling. The variable is the size of the URL map and how much of the old site nobody can account for. We scope after the first crawl rather than before it, because guessing at the number of redirects is how migrations go over.
Send us your domain and the platform you are moving to, and we’ll come back with the risks worth planning for, before you commit to anything.
